One of the most common questions we get is: "What is the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?" Here is a clear explanation — and guidance on which one you need.
What a regular clean covers
A regular domestic clean is a maintenance service. We clean the surfaces you use every day — kitchen counters, hobs, sinks, bathroom fixtures, floors, and general dusting and tidying. Done weekly or fortnightly, it keeps your home in a consistently good condition.
Think of it like brushing your teeth: you do it regularly to maintain cleanliness, not to fix a problem.
What a deep clean covers
A deep clean is a restoration service. We go into every corner, every cupboard, and every hidden area. This includes:
- Inside kitchen cupboards and drawers
- Behind and underneath appliances (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher)
- Grout between tiles
- Skirting boards, vents, and light fittings
- Window tracks and frames
- Under furniture and in wardrobes
A deep clean takes significantly longer and costs more — but the results are transformative.
When do you need a deep clean?
A deep clean makes sense when:
- You are moving into a new property
- You are preparing a property for sale or rental
- It has been more than 6 months since a thorough clean
- You are starting regular cleaning after a period without it
- You want a complete seasonal reset
The best approach: deep clean first, then maintain
Many of our clients start with a one-off deep clean, then switch to regular fortnightly maintenance. This way, the property starts from a great baseline and the regular clean keeps it there — efficiently and affordably.
