Booking

How do I book a clean?

You can book by calling us on 07583 297 691, emailing hello@lookathemshine.co.uk, or filling in our online contact form. We'll get back to you within a few hours to confirm your booking.

How much notice do you need?

For regular domestic cleans, we usually ask for at least 48 hours' notice. For end of tenancy, deep cleans, and other specialist services, please give us as much notice as possible — ideally at least a week — so we can schedule the right team.

Can I book a regular slot?

Absolutely. Many of our customers have a regular weekly or fortnightly slot with the same cleaner each time. We'll do our best to ensure consistency so your cleaner gets to know your home.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule without charge. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a fee — please see our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Services

What's the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?

A regular clean covers everyday tasks — hoovering, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens. A deep clean goes much further: inside cupboards, behind appliances, skirting boards, light switches, and all those areas that don't get attention every week.

Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?

Yes, we bring everything we need. Our products are professional-grade and eco-friendly. If you have a preference for specific products or would like us to use your own supplies, just let us know.

Do you clean ovens as part of a regular clean?

We wipe down oven surfaces as part of a regular clean, but a full oven clean — removing racks, cleaning the interior lining, and degreasing — is a specialist service and is booked separately.

Can you clean while I'm out?

Yes, many of our clients prefer this. We can arrange key holding or a key safe. Your property is always fully insured while we're working.

Pricing

How much does a regular domestic clean cost?

Our domestic cleaning starts from £15 per hour with a minimum booking of 2 hours. The exact cost depends on the size of your home and how often we visit. Regular customers receive preferential rates.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. All quotes are completely free and provided with no obligation. We'll assess your requirements and give you a clear, written price before any work begins.

Are there any hidden fees?

None at all. The price we quote is the price you pay. We'll always confirm everything in writing before we start.

Do you charge VAT?

We currently operate below the VAT threshold, so our prices are not subject to VAT.

Trust & Safety

Are your cleaners DBS checked?

Yes. Every member of our team holds a current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. We take the trust you place in us very seriously.

Are you insured?

Yes, we hold full public liability insurance. In the very unlikely event of any damage or breakage, you're fully covered.

What if I'm not happy with the clean?

We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If anything isn't up to standard, contact us within 24 hours and we'll return to put it right, free of charge.
